Booth language: why FLX10, CDJs, and 1200s are not the same job

Buy the surface that matches the rooms you play — not the one that photographs well.

Controllers are a studio and a mobile rig

An FLX4 teaches the language. An FLX10 is a job. If you never play anyone else's booth, you do not need CDJs — you need a case and a PA.

CDJs are a passport

If guest sets are the business, CDJ-3000 + DJM-A9 is the language. You are buying interoperability, not waveforms.

1200s are an instrument

Technics are not 'more authentic' in the abstract. They are the right tool when vinyl or DVS-on-tables is the performance. Budget cartridges like strings.
